Position Overview

This Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for identifying and prospecting new, integrated partner opportunities and successfully scheduling first POC for Global Citizen Directors. This role is aligned to specific targets, including identifying prospects through industry research and cultivating an existing database of previous contacts.

This role will focus on cold and warm outreach to prospective supporters while identifying decision makers and key influencers within the prospect. The “close” for the BDA is the first meeting set for the Business Development Director, at which point prospects are passed off to Business Development Directors to present Global Citizen formally, propose partnership economics, and negotiate contract terms. In addition to tactical market engagement, this role is responsible for maintaining a database of live contacts and reporting weekly on various aspects of the program.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand and clearly articulate the Global Citizen integrated partner model value proposition when communicating with prospects face-to-face, over the phone, and over email
  • Research and understand market; major players, relevant trends, competitive intelligence
  • Produce periodic updates and/or “newsfeeds” to the team about trends or new information identified in assigned segments
  • Assist the broader business development team in planning for and executing on conferences and meetings
  • Follow-up on prospect pipeline to identify and contact the decision maker(s) and then facilitate a live introduction to the appropriate Business Development Director
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • MUST have a minimum of 3 years experience in a business-to-business marketing or sales role
  • Experience prospecting and cold calling preferred
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to diverse audiences
  • Proficient in standard business/Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Google Business Suite, Keynote  and Sales CRM solutions
  • Four year college degree required
