About the Position

As the Global Email Marketing Manager for Global Citizen, you will play a leading role in driving our audience growth and engagement of our rapidly growing email community. In the day-to-day, you will drive global email programs that spread our message through rewards, content, campaigns, and partnerships.

Email lies at the heart of Global Citizen's current and future strategy to build an action-minded community. The email manager will lead the strategic thinking and execution of email publishing. The manager will have a strong desire and capacity to innovate in content conception and delivery, responding quickly and thoughtfully to data insights and performance metrics.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent communications skills, an openness to partner internally and externally, as well as the flexibility to adapt to new tactics. It demands at least five years of digital experience, strong collaborative skills, a disciplined focus on achieving measurable goals and experience in developing and delivering digital campaigns.

As the Global Email Marketing Manager, you will report to the Global Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing email marketing programs across user segments and their stages of engagement, retention, and activation within the Global Citizen community and our Global Citizen Festivals
  • Defining benchmarks that ladder up to our organizational KPIs, and working with the analytics and insights to measure and optimize email campaigns
  • Ensuring tools, process, and partner relationships are in place to support innovative automated (trigger/ scheduled) and manual campaigns
  • Defining best-practices and ensuring campaigns are optimized for deliverability, opens, activity, engagement, data capture
  • Working with UX and dev teams to develop email templates according to brand guidelines and best-practices
  • Day to Day:
    • Manage a daily calendar of emails from content, policy, marketing, and partnerships departments
    • Create metrics reports on email performance as needed
    • Light writing and editing of email copy as needed
