We are looking for a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Johannesburg.

Job Description

The Rewards customer service associate will play a key role on the Global Citizen Rewards team, helping facilitate our loyalty program and user engagement in South Africa. Global Citizen Rewards is the program that allows our users to win prizes with the points they’ve earned taking action on Global Citizen and to earn special benefits for their ongoing engagement in the Global Citizen community.

In the day to day, you will support the Rewards and Marketing teams to communicate with users who participate in the program, manage rewards inventory on the Global Citizen platform, and develop promotional assets for the program.


  • Handle all user communication related to Global Citizen Rewards entrants and winners, including coordinating winner logistics, responding to winner questions, and resolving challenges. Occasional after-hours work may be necessary
  • Upload and manage inventory of Rewards within GC platform, oversee Rewards drawing entries, monitor program engagement levels and users who participate
  • Conduct research related to Global Citizen Rewards, including: identification of new event dates, artist management teams, tracking of artist and winner social posts, and other details needed to run the program successfully
  • Keep marketing teams abreast of rewards activity & associated content, aid them in promotion of rewards
  • Support Rewards program management and marketing by creating promotional pages for Rewards, resizing assets, conducting tour/sports season research, and more as needed
  • Track and report on drawing performance and user participation; help the Global Marketing teams efficiently engage with a range of stakeholders and partners related to Global Citizen Rewards

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1 year experience in a role that requires highly detail-oriented, accurate work. Experience in partnerships, marketing, and troubleshooting customer service issues a plus  
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, public relations, or program management
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office including Excel, Google Docs, Google Calendar; ability to quickly learn new software systems

  • Reports to Director of Citizenship Programs in New York; day-to-day management oversight by South Africa Director
  • Must be authorized for employment in South Africa
